Capabilities to determine drug-target binding affinities to achieve high levels of selective drug actions on cancer cells would be very useful for designing anti-cancer therapeutics. As cancerous cells and normal cells exhibit a few biochemical differences, many anticancer drugs affect normal rapidly growing cells in the intestine and bone marrow areas and hence are toxic.
